Suspect arrested in series of armed robberies in Lanett, others suspected in involvement – Valley Times-News

Since May 12, 2024, a series of armed robberies have occurred in the town of Lanett, Alabama. A total of four armed robberies have occurred within the city limits of Lanett, involving what is believed to be the
same suspects.

The targets of the thefts were specifically members of our Hispanic community.
The suspects appear to be young black men between the ages of 16 and 25. During a theft, a red 2014 Kia ​​Forte was stolen and its whereabouts remain unknown. The suspects were armed with various firearms at the time of the robberies.

Photos of three of the suspects are included in this release. Investigators believe other suspects
may be involved.

On 06/11/2024, officers with the Lanett Police Department executed a search and arrest warrant on a
a young black man in connection with this case. Due to the use of a firearm during this criminal theft, the minor
is charged as an adult.
