Robbery suspect arrested with cache of guns, body armor and ammo

Seattle police last week arrested a robbery suspect, a 56-year-old man, armed with a cache of guns, body armor and ammunition.

On June 5 at 10:58 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of an assault and violent threat in the 400 block of Minor Avenue North.

Officers investigated and determined that the suspect had repeatedly robbed, assaulted and threatened the victim, a 38-year-old man, over a period of time.

The suspect was located at the scene and arrested. He was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of 1st degree Robbery and 4th degree Assault.

On June 6, Robbery Unit detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home and seized several firearms, body armor and countless rounds of pistol, rifle and shotgun shells. . An officer from the crisis response team assisted in securing the scene.

A criminal charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree was requested by detectives. Several identification documents and bank cards were also found and seized as evidence when the warrant was served.

Additional charges may be added as robbery detectives complete their investigation.
