Hammer-wielding robbers strike on Shepparton Road

Police said another vehicle, believed to be a white SUV, pulled up in front of the Rodeo, forcing it to stop.

A man and a woman got out of the SUV and approached the victims’ vehicle, police said.

Police say the woman yelled at a victim and demanded money.

The man used a hammer to damage the Holden before demanding a victim’s phone, police said.

The victim refused to hand over his phone and the man took the keys to the Holden, police said.

Police were informed that the man and woman had left the scene in the white SUV.

The man is described as being in his early 20s and with dark hair.

The woman is described as being in her early 20s with shoulder-length blonde hair.

No one was injured during the incident.
