PIXLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An investigation is underway after two consecutive robberies in Pixley and Delano Tuesday morning, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies say they were called to the Pixley Shell station in the 500 block of E. Terra Bella Street in Pixley for an armed robbery that had just happened after 1 a.m. Tuesday.


Upon arrival, sheriff’s officers said they learned that two armed suspects had entered the store and demanded money from the cashier. Fortunately, no one got hurt.

As deputies from the Pixley substation investigated the first robbery, sheriff’s officials said a second robbery occurred at Big B’s Travel Center in the 1600 block of Old Highway 99 in Delano .

During this robbery, police say two armed suspects demanded money from the clerk and customers inside the store. When the suspects left, they stole a vehicle from a customer who was getting gas. No one was injured during this theft.

Detectives say they are investigating both robberies because they appear to be related.
