Victim sexually assaulted in armed carjacking at south Charlotte bank: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three people were assaulted and carjacked in the parking lot of a south Charlotte bank, according to reports from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, officers responded to a reported armed robbery at a Bank of America at 5801 South Blvd.

The victims, an 18-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, said the suspect was armed and carjacked their 2008 Toyota Camry car. Reports show the suspect also sexually assaulted one the victims.

None of the victims were injured during the incident, according to the report. It is unclear whether the suspect has been arrested or charged. Police say this is an active investigation.
