5 teenagers accused of theft and assault on the CTA blue line

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWS RADIO) – Chicago police have issued a community alert asking for help identifying five teenagers wanted for robbery and beatings on a CTA train.

This happened on Saturday on a Blue Line train around 1:30 p.m.

It was at or near the Racine stop when the five men, according to police, approached another passenger. At least one brandished a gun and demanded property.

Police said he then beat and kicked the victim and stole his shoes.

It is not known what these shoes were.

Images of the five people taken by a CTA surveillance camera are quite clear, showing their faces.

Each is wanted for armed robbery.
