Leesburg man faces drug distribution, firearms charges | Securities

A Leesburg man has been charged with several felonies following an arrest Saturday, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

Around 12:30 p.m., officers were in the area of ​​75 Plaza St. NE when they encountered a man who appeared to be under the influence, police said in a news release. The suspect, identified in the release as Nicholas T. Roach, 28, of Leesburg, was arrested for public intoxication.

During the search of Roach, officers allegedly discovered a large quantity of cash and narcotics.

“Following the arrest, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 75 Plaza Street NE and discovered additional illegal narcotics including suspected cocaine, scales, cell phones, two firearms including serial numbers were removed and a significant amount of cash. “, the release states. “It was determined that one of the firearms had been reported stolen in Florida.”

Roach was charged with distribution of controlled substances, possession of a firearm while in possession of a schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance, two counts of serial number removal on a firearm and receiving a stolen firearm, according to the release.

Roach was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
