Police seize guns, ammunition and body armor from home of 56-year-old assault suspect

A plethora of guns, body armor, gun ammunition and more were found at the home of a 56-year-old assault suspect following his arrest.

Seattle Police responded to a report of an assault and violent threat in the 400 block of Minor Avenue North on June 5 at 10:58 a.m. Officers determined through an investigation that the 56-year-old man had repeatedly robbed, assaulted and threatened the 38 people. Male victim aged 12 over a given period.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and then booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery and fourth-degree assault.

A search warrant was served at the suspect’s home the next day, June 6. Robbery unit detectives seized several firearms, body armor and countless cartridges from pistols, rifles and shotguns, according to Seattle police. Several identity documents and bank cards were also seized during the search, police said.

Following the search, detectives sought a criminal charge of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. Police said additional charges may be added as robbery detectives complete their investigation.
