Southampton man charged with shoplifting and criminal damage

Michael Cranwell, 30, of no fixed abode, was charged with three offenses yesterday.

This followed his arrest in Long Lane, Holbury yesterday morning.

He is accused of shoplifting from Tesco, Beaulieu Road, Dibden Purlieu on April 25.

Cranwell was also charged with criminal damage in Ipley Way, Hythe on March 24 and breaching a restraining order in Hythe on May 18.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
