Texas law enforcement seizes 488 million lethal doses of fentanyl | Texas

AUSTIN, TX — Texas law enforcement seized 488 million lethal doses of fentanyl during Operation Lone Star, a border mission aimed at combating illegal activity.

The operation, which began in 2021, resulted in the arrest of more than 503,800 illegal immigrants and more than 40,400 criminal arrests, including more than 36,100 criminal charges. According to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, this initiative targets illegal immigration, drug trafficking and human trafficking.

“That’s enough fentanyl to kill every man, woman and child in the United States and Mexico,” Abbott said. Texas continues to lead the way in the fight against fentanyl, with the One Pill Kills campaign highlighting the dangers of the drug.
