Woman accused of batting car in Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Hartford woman faces a felony weapons charge after destroying a vehicle in South Glastonbury, police said.

Teora Jonasia Whaley, 20, was arrested in connection with the July 8 incident in the Maston Hill neighborhood, police said. According to an arrest report, she used a baseball bat to hit a vehicle after a disturbance. The incident violated a protective order, for which she was charged, according to an arrest report.


Police also found a handgun on her, leading to criminal possession of a firearm, according to an arrest report.

She was also charged with:

  • Driving an unregistered vehicle
  • Unlawful possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle
  • Driving with a suspended license
  • Failure to take out minimum insurance
  • Second degree disturbance of public order
