Folsom police sting operation arrests man accused of selling narcotics, firearms – Folsom Times

Throughout late June and early July, detectives with the Folsom Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) followed leads regarding the sale of illegal narcotics in the City of Folsom and Sacramento County.

On Tuesday afternoon, Gabrial Carter, 25, of Sacramento, agreed to meet with detectives to sell drugs, according to a news release from the Folsom Police Department.

During a search of Carter’s home, detectives recovered just under two pounds of cocaine, approximately 4,000 Alprazolam pills, MDMA, narcotics packaging materials, $50,000 in cash and a loaded handgun.

Carter was transported and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple felony drug and firearm charges.

“Our SIU detectives are committed to protecting the Folsom community from narcotics and the dangers inherent in drug sales,” the department said in a statement. “If you believe there is illegal drug activity in your neighborhood and would like to provide us with that information, please submit your information to our hotline at (916) 930-1098.”
