CCPD arrests two suspects in June armed robbery; one released on bail – Culver City Crossroads


On June 20, 2024, at 1:19 a.m., an armed robbery occurred in the 5600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. Two suspects approached the victim as she was walking to an ATM and demanded money and the victim’s cell phone. One of the suspects pointed a black semi-automatic rifle at the victim during the robbery.

The Culver City Police Department conducted an extensive investigation and identified the two suspects believed to be responsible for this robbery. On July 3, 2024, suspect Joe Saldivar-Salazar, a twenty-two-year-old from Los Angeles, was arrested in connection with the armed robbery. On July 5, 2024, suspect Alexander Mejia, a twenty-one-year-old also from Los Angeles, was arrested in connection with the armed robbery. Both suspects were booked into the Culver City Police Department Jail. Suspect Mejia remains in custody with bail set at one hundred thousand dollars, and suspect Saldivar-Salazar was released on bail.
