Drake & Josh Star Josh Peck Opens Up About His Past Struggles With Addiction • Hollywood Unlocked

Josh Peck The actor has opened up about his drug addiction issues and said he wasn’t constantly abusing drugs while starring on Nickelodeon’s hit series, “Drake & Josh.” However, the former child star said that after the show ended, he admitted that he was often high on drugs.

On the latest episode of his podcast “Good Guys,” Peck recalled that he was “on everything but skates,” and his guest, comedian Ms. Pat, joked that his kids watched the show without knowing he was high in most episodes. “You mean the whole time my kids were watching your little round ass, you were high?” she exclaimed. However, Peck clarified that his drug use worsened during the show’s third and fourth seasons.

This isn’t the first time Peck has revealed his drug abuse, though. On an episode of “Canceled with Tana Mongeau” last year, Peck mentioned that his problems worsened after he lost weight at age 17, when he began working on “Drake & Josh.” SO FABULOUS He said he felt pressured to “catch up” with his peers and was still struggling with the same thoughts about other personal difficulties.

“I lost all that weight, but I was the same head in a different body. I thought, ‘I’ve reached the finish line. I’ve done it. Now I don’t have to worry about anything.’ I was still plagued by the same thoughts and problems that had affected me my whole life – problems with my father, etc. I remember thinking, ‘Why would anyone want to feel any other way than that?’ And I took that deep breath that I had been searching for my whole life. Suddenly, I felt free.”

Peck overcame his drug addiction after getting sober at age 21, despite some critical situations throughout his adult life. The actor claims he has remained sober.
