Columbus Police seek public’s help in identifying armed robbery suspect

Columbus, Ohio – Columbus Division of Police detectives are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred on May 3, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., in the 2300 block of West Broad Street.

The suspect, described as a black male, approximately 6’1″ tall, approximately 200 pounds, with a short, faded haircut, and approximately 20 to 24 years old, entered the business and walked behind the counter. Displaying a handgun, he demanded cash from the registers and also took a purse from a female customer waiting in line, all the while pointing the gun at her. After committing the robbery, the suspect fled out the back door into an alley.

After committing the robbery, the suspect fled out the back door into an alley.

  • Fayette City man charged in fatal crash on Interstate 70

    Rostraver Township, Pennsylvania – Pennsylvania State Police have filed criminal charges against Jacob Posey, 23, of Fayette City, in connection with a fatal crash in March on Interstate 70.

    Posey has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless driving, careless driving and several other offenses. Investigators revealed that Posey was traveling approximately 118 miles per hour when he collided with another vehicle, resulting in the death of the other motorist, Tori Demo of Washington County.

    According to witnesses, attempts were made to rescue Demo, but his vehicle caught fire, preventing any intervention. Posey’s excessive speed is believed to have caused the fatal accident.

  • Burglary reported on Dagobert Street in Wilkes-Barre

    Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania – On Monday, July 8, at 7:07 a.m., officers with the Wilkes-Barre Police Department responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on Dagobert Street.

    According to the victim, a 62-year-old Wilkes-Barre man, an unknown suspect broke down the back door of his home and stole several items.
