14-year-old and three others charged with carjacking at gas station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four teenagers, including a 14-year-old girl, have been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery in Orange Mound on Monday.

According to reports, around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Marathon gas station located at 2785 Park Avenue. The victim told police he was returning to his car when an armed man approached him and demanded his property.


The victim complied after a second suspect approached him. The suspect then fled in his car.

Officers reportedly followed the vehicle to Airways Boulevard and Park Avenue. As they approached the car, it fled, sparking a pursuit.

The vehicle struck a curb on Kimball Avenue, near Labelle Street, and “became immobilized.” Police say two men and two women fled the car and were taken into custody.

Christopher Paige, 18, was charged with aggravated robbery, evading in a vehicle, evading on foot and reckless driving. His bail has not been set.

The 17-year-old boy, 16-year-old girl and 14-year-old girl were also charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest on foot.
