Waldorf man charged with armed robbery in Crofton

On the evening of July 6, 2024, an armed robbery at the Gorilla Fireworks stand in Glen Burnie led to a quick police response and the arrest of four suspects. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at 1153 Crain Highway North when three individuals confronted a female employee. One of the suspects brandished a firearm, demanding access to the cash register, which they then removed and drove away in a dark-colored BMW.

A police officer responding to the emergency call spotted the vehicle shortly after the theft. The officer was able to stop the BMW, leading to the arrest of the four occupants. After searching the vehicle, law enforcement recovered the stolen cash register and a loaded .40 caliber polymer pistol.

The suspects have been identified as follows:

  • Mark Dewayne Mason, 23, of Bowie, Maryland
  • Isaiah Christopher Mason, 19, of Bowie, Maryland
  • Jelani Nassir Bryson, 18, of Hyattsville, Maryland
  • Elijah Cravon Ducket, 20, of Waldorf, Maryland
