County commissioners seek state grant to combat opioid, alcohol abuse

Lebanon County officials hope to help more inmates on their journey to sobriety by applying for a two-year grant for a statewide drug treatment program.

Lebanon County commissioners voted unanimously Thursday, July 3, to request a state grant totaling about $107,000 for drug treatment for county inmates.

Tina Litz, Director of the Lebanon County Correctional Facility, applied for and received approval to apply for a 2024 county-based non-competitive (no match) grant through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s Vivitrol Program.
